Fascinated by the Chinese Character, Symbol of Good Luck, since year 2007 continuing to paint obsessively the same symbol,, a beautiful symbol The Chinese Character of Good Luck has a world of meanings for me.
The single Character conveys so much and much more than just a few lines.
While the symbol has  come up in my art as a combination with other symbols, now it has its own presence and a collection of colourful symbols of Good luck paintings on paper in acrylic. A Good luck symbol is a image of luck and prosperity,

Some more understanding of the symbol here - “The character   ,  meaning "fortune" or "good luck" is represented both as a Chinese ideograph, but also at times pictorially, in one of its homophonous forms, most popularly as a bat, but also sometimes as the cereal bran. It is also often found on a figurine of the male god of the same name, one of the trio of "star gods" Fú, Lù, Shòu.
Mounted  are a widespread Chinese tradition associated with Chinese New Year and can be seen on the entrances of many Chinese homes worldwide. The characters are generally printed on a square piece of paper or stitched in fabric. The practice is universal among Chinese people regardless of socioeconomic status, and dates to at least the Song Dynasty (AD 960 – 1279).

When displayed as a Chinese ideograph,  is often displayed upside-down on diagonal red squares. The reasoning is based on a wordplay: in nearly all varieties of Chinese: the words for "upside-down" (, Pinyin: dào) and "to arrive" (, Pinyin: dào) are homophonous. Therefore, the phrase an "upside-down " sounds nearly identical to the phrase "Good luck arrives". Pasting the character upside-down on a door or doorpost thus translates into a wish for prosperity to descend upon a dwelling.Usage of the character  () in various forms of calligraphy and seal characters as papercuts or posters represents the desire that one's good luck will be expansive and come in many forms” Wikepedia , Google Search.
The symbol brings hope, positive energy and attracts good experiences Fame, wealth, health, love, wisdom and much more for me, the beautiful Chinese symbol is a complete package of Joy and Happiness!.
It is important to know that symbols with their hidden symbolism and meanings work wonders when seen on a regular basis. Yes they are mere lines but our faith and beliefs and positive intentions work miraculously to the messages the images convey to our brains, almost magical!
