In feng shui usually the number to be avoided is four. When
we suggest it is either number one for the single strong leader energy or two
in pair, or a baby with the pair for family luck. Then we have the strongest
prosperity wealth lucky numbers five, seven, eight or nine the ultimate symbol
of good luck.
Why is the number four never loved or mentioned in any of
the feng shi symbolic cures, and four is never used in any form in homes. The
reason for not selecting this four number in any form is that in Chinese
language the number four is pronounced as the similar sound of death. Hence
when we say four we also tend to say death. And this is all but natural hanging
four objects or four horses in painting symbolically means stopping of energy,
standstill, death.

Whenever any feng shui cures are selected four is the number
to be avoided always. The Japanese number four is pronounced as ‘Shi’ which
means death .
Though the number four also is a strong stability symbol
being in shape square with its equal sides and strong stability energy there
are many differences in cultural meanings for every number. But following feng
shui and the Chinese symbolism the number four or thirteen, that is 1+3=4 is
always considered in auspicious and unlucky.
There are so many people who avoid this number as they tend
to change room number plates ,floor numbers to even home numbers to even hotels
to hospital numbers to avoid this number in their life.
Always remember there is no replacement to hard sincere
effort ,
for everything else there is feng shui !
