Main door entrances and living rooms are usually places where we see Aum paintings and symbols of Aum displayed. The main purpose of displaying Aum is for protection and purification of any space.
The first sound of the universe, the beginning, the symbol Aum has been associated with spirituality and powerful positive energy.
Its seen in many forms as paintings, objects , sculptures and has from time and again influenced artists to write the beautiful symbol.

When we see Om Aum Auhm paintings at home or office spaces, it all depends upon the personal preferences of the displayer. Since Om being a universally known symbol it is accepted by everyone easily.
Basically more prominent with the Hinduism culture and There is a difference in the Tibetan Aum as it is written differently, check out my artwork with modern Tibetan Aum.
Usually symbolic Aum paintings are selected for religious and personal healing energy art choices. The emotional association over ages from elders about the power of protection and auspicious new beginnings the symbol Aum does come up in many symbolic paintings.
Then there are many also who love to view the symbol Om, it brings a soothing energy of peace and relaxation with the strong emotional connection attached to its symbolic meaning.
Important Precautions and care while displaying Aum Paintings-
1) Its not just a line! If you give love to your symbol the symbol gives love back manifolds.
2) Hang Aum paintings above ground level and take care to keep the artworks with respect.
3) While choosing Aum paintings see that the symbol is written correctly and complete in its form. Incomplete and distorted images of OM  send wrong messages to the universe.
4) If you have an Om painting it can be displayed in any space where you get to see it more, for best healing results.
5) Main entrance spaces, living rooms are best as it acts a a protective symbol from negative energies and evil eye.
6) Never display Aum upside down.
7) If a painting is damaged or has a distorted Om please remove it.
8) It is not necessary that you choose a large sized Aum painting for healing and protection a smaller one also connects with your energy if you like it.
9) Do not burn fire under the symbol of Aum. This happens usually in home temples.
10) Aum is a beautiful symbol used since ages but if you or your family do not like it or connect with this you can display other symbols for protection as a painting that is not loved sends out more negative energy than positive.
11) A hand made hand written Aum painting has much more energy than an Om poster of photograph.
12) While gifting Aum paintings do consider the receivers likes, religious preferences as the symbolic artworks may go to store rooms or are treated with disrespect if not loved. If you get one and do not like please pass it on to some one who would love it!

13) Buying Aum symbol paintings or getting one made customized,  always choose the size accordingly, as I see a lot of people go in for extra large sized Aum artworks and then this becomes an over powering energy in their space that affects the peace of inmates and their house.
14) Displaying Aum paintings in shops choose a proportionate size and do not go in for very large works opposite the main entrance as they repel customers from coming in the shop.
15) Never choose Aum Om symbol for door mats, please! Give the symbols its due respect.
16) Aum Om paintings today have gone modern and contemporary and there is not need to go in for traditional simple Aum symbols, you can get a modern artwork with the symbol that blends well with your contemporary decor!
